Archetypes at Work™ is a new cutting-edge method to assess and develop people and organizations to become fit for the future. Archetypes are underlying patterns of human nature and experience.

As such they are – often invisibly – “running the show”. They are embedded in our inner motivations and mindset and deeply rooted in our values. The better we understand these patterns and the more consciously we use them, the more effective we will be. Shadows of Too Little

Given that every Archetype has a unique set of Gifts and productive behaviors, when we have little or no access to a particular Archetype we show up with a gap in our potentially full spectrum. This gap will manifest as another set of behaviors and attitudes, different from the Shadows of Too Much. For clarity, there is much more likelihood of you exhibiting the Shadows of Too Little in your lesser-used Archetypes. Here we often do not recognize the Gifts that lesser-used Actors could offer — and therefore do not call on them appropriately.

Shadows of Too Much

Archetypes are ever-present. On our good days, we access a favored Archetype’s Gifts with ease and achieve the impact we desire. On bad days we will overplay a favorite Archetype. You can have too much of a good thing. And, you are much more likely to activate the Shadows of Too Much in your Leading Actors than the others.
